Information on different meetup-groups based on the members in currently visited/requested meetup-group

Hi,

is there a way to retrieve the information about new/different meetup-groups based on members in a currently visited group? 

Using the website the information is labeled "People in this Meetup are also in" in the members-tag?

The similar_groups request seems plausible but is it the same data as the data of "People in this Meetup are also in" is based on?

I am basically asking if that's the same information.
