Trying to find the inactive users for the past couple of months

Hi, 

I'm trying to use the API to find inactive users for the past couple of months.

Do I need to iterate over every user in the group and check their last active time? Seems to be a waste since the website uses it too.  Is there a shortcut to get this list of users?
