Meetups needing an organizer

Hello

Is there any way, through the API, that I can get a list of meetups in need of an Organizer? Preferably within a distance of x from a location

Or, and this is just a optional suggestion, join the groups that interest you personally, get really involved with the group(s), and then when one of them needs an org change, step up and volunteer.
