Hi

for automating a few things (in particular, events posted on multiple groups) it would be very convenient if the event host could specify additional properties, for example an internal event id. These properties should be visible to organizers and events hosts only.

Cheers,
Jens.

Hi Jens,

My service at http://MeetupBoost.com allows events to be cross-posted and keeps them linked together. Basically the additional information is store on our server instead of adding fields to the Meetup objects. You may want to consider doing something similar.

Hi Dominique,

I've used MeetupBoost and do store additional (internal) props on our own server. It would just be easier for our organizers to be able to modify them directly on their meetup event instead of e.g. having to use an additional form on our website. This would also allow to copy from a previous event or template using the standard procedures.

Hi Dominique,

I began using MeetupBoost last week and I'm having a problem with the feature I need most. It's the RVSP feature that sends an email to any members who no-show to an event. My club has over 4,400 members.

Here is how I tested the feature that emails a message to a no-show member:

I made myself RSVP for our event happening on Nov 19 on the Meetup interface.
I made a custom warning email message on MeetupBoost.
Then, after I didn't show for the event I didn't get the warning email.
I took attendance for the event on Meetup's interface and marked myself as "no-show" but I still didn't receive the warning email.

Can you please help me?

The meetup api has removed the ability to send messages to an individual group member.  And there is no parity in the API for the current Meetup messaging system.

You will need to contact the no-show members manually and individually via the web interface.
