Hi All,

I'm not sure whether C++ SG14 (Game Dev and Low Latency) has been
mentioned here before. Some of you might be interested. A call has just
gone out for more input from the trading industry (see below).

The group is here:

Cheers,

Ross.

Hi all, sorry I have been off the grid since the SG14 at GDC 2016 report.

One of the area I want to gather more discussion on is the area covered
by financial trading/banking in C++. This has low latency as well as
throughput impacts, depending on whether you are talking about HFT,
Quants, optimization of historical big data analysis, or just plain
spoof detections.

There have also been a number of leaders in that industry who have been
on this discussion, and a number who do not want to be actively
indentified. But recently, I received an offer from Carl Cook to help
draw those discussions for which I like to ask to start a discussion on
topics of common interest to this group. Thank-you very much, Carl.

I would like to enlist the help of this group which include many
contributors such as Neil from Credit Suisse and Tom Rodgers, as well
as others previously or currently from DRW trading, and anyone else
interested in financial related topics for improving C++ to join in.

At some point, I am interested in hosting some F2F SG14 (similar to GDC)
in the key financial centres such as NY, London, Chicago , ... etc. I
would rely on members of the Financial subgroup to identify key
conferences (STAC?) to co-locate with to enable attendance of such a
future proposed F2F.

Thank you.
