TOP BIRDS

The WHITE-CHEEKED PINTAIL* originally spotted Aug 16 was still present

Chincoteague NWR, Accomack Co, VA. (Its provenance is unknown.)

A GRAY KINGBIRD* was found Aug 23 in the town of Little Creek, Kent
Co, DE. This bird was observed and photographed as it perched on wires
and snags around the parking lot of the defunct Cavaliers East

on Aug 26. If/when confirmed, it would be a second state record for
this coastal Florida specialty.

As of Aug 29, the TRUMPETER SWAN in Howard Co, MD, was still present
at the storm water pond on the east side of the Broken Land Parkway
exit off Rte 29.

Small numbers of migrating COMMON NIGHTHAWKS are being noted
