Can we lift IR without CFG but from the disassembled instruction of the binary

Hello Mcsema user,

I have a front end disassembly tool that generate a assembly instruction in a textual form but not in CFG format for the given elf binary. The generated disassembly instruction appears in a textual information and storing in the filename.s (assembly format).

My question here is, with out generating a CGF or CFG of google protobuf custom file format of mcsema can we lift  IR directly from the disassembled assembly instruction...?

Why Mcsema converted raw CFG (provided  by IDA pro or Ninja) to google protobuf custom CFG format..?
