Hi,
I've run SDM's in Maxent to create habitat suitability of a plant species in current and future climate scenario. I've converted the Maxent outputs to binary maps having two classes, i.e: Unsuitable habitat (value=0) and Suitable habitat (value=1).
In order to find out the difference in the two scenarios, I did subtraction (Future Scenario - Current Scenario). What I intended to do was to find out the areas of change. Here're screenshots of the rasters.
My question is, how should I interpret the Difference raster? For example, the if an area becomes unsuitable in future scenario (value=0) but is a suitable habitat in current scenario (value=1), the Difference raster would contain a value of -1 (Difference Raster = Future - Current). But the Difference raster still comprises of values 0 and 1. How should I explain this?
Or in case I'm adopting an incorrect way of finding the "distributional change" between the two rasters, please suggest an appropriate method of doing it.
Thanks and Regards,
Amir
