Creating a loop to predict over small areas

Dear friends,

Based on a  SDM, I am I am trying to use the predict function (raster package) to predict the model to  South Africa.

It runs off memory and gives me an error when I predict for the entirely  country country, however it works fine if I use a small section (2x2 degrees) using the function extent.

Can someone advise me about the script to run a loop so I can use the prediction function over small areas
