problems with regulation multiplier

Dear All,

I am modelling the distribution of planarians using MaxEnt. I have
used the program with a datast of 22 localities for the Iberian
Peninsula on many ocasions without problems under different conditions
and different regulation multipliers. The problem is that I never
obtain good results when applying the regulation multiplier 1. In that
case the AUC is around 0.5 or the program is just not able to finish
the process.

My running conditions are the folloing:

25 replictes:

I would appreciate any suggestion on the reason for this result. Why
the program performs well with reg. multipliers over 1 but not with 1?

Miquel,

Please check that you are using the latest version of Maxent from the
download site,

http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~schapire/maxent/

as I believe that problem has been fixed. If you still get an error
with the latest version, please send me the whole maxent.log file.
