Unusual colours in the model

Hi,

Everytime i run MaxEnt the maps have those kind of patters (pics attached). It happens with all my environmental layers. I converted my layers from .shp to .asc, maybe this has something to do with this problem.

Can you please specify what these images represent? And were these shapefiles you converted to ascii categorical variables, or single-value shapefiles?
