Hello all,

I used the Bioclim algorithm in openModeller to obtain numerical values for each environmental layer that is associated with my occurance points. Then I will use these values in bivariate correlation analysis to exclude the highly correlated environmental variables and finally use my new data set as an input for Maxent modelling.
First of all is this the correct way of choosing uncorrelated environmental variables?
If it is true, then how can I save the output table of Bioclim algorithm in openModeller to use the numerical values for bivariate correlation analysis?

I will appreciate your help.

Jenny

Hello Jenny,
I did the same procedure in ArcMap to get the point values for my georefrenced presence points. The table can be created by copying the values into the statistical tool window under the different variables. And according to the percent contribution, permutation importance, the r value and R square value we can select the less correlated variables and the model can be run based on these optimized variables.
