Hi all,

I am currently using 3 environmental variables to produce Maxent niche models - I selected these from a larger set of variables and removed those that showed high collinearity.
Does anyone know if there is a recommended minimum number of variables that can be used with Maxent?

Thanks and best wishes,
Amy

Hi Amy,

I don't think there is a minimum - one variable would be just fine if it has enough predictive power. Actually it's often recommended to use fewer rather than many variables...

Cheers
