Create a New Makerspace

Maui Makers is going to relocate it's primary workspace in the very near future Possibly as soon as September  We are in final talks with a for profit entity P&L Maui Inc to sublease a 1500 +/- sq ft part of a 3500 +/- sq ft new warehouse that is being outfitted for their shop  and will be outfitted for MMI

To compress the timeline for full functionality We are asking for Volunteers to assist in Painting a wall and washing and sealing the new concrete floor in our portion of the building

Our Warehouse Makerspace will be closed during these Volunteer events

The work events will be limited to Paid Maui Makers Members and their family members 16 years old and older  You will also need to sign a new Liability release form

Things  to bring Shoes, gloves, 

We will need  a second wringer mop bucket and mop and some paint poles and trays as well as a paint stirrer attachment for an electric drill 5 Gal size.

Major work done  on Saturday  Wall painted and some of the floor scrubbed and sealed  More scrubbing and sealing on Sunday (today)  

For those who cant make it  we have some do at home projects 

We will need an original sign for the bathroom Maker and or island themed   if manufacturing is required we will do at the space when opened  We would like a few designs from different persons even Menehunes. It can be any media or mount

We have vacated the old space and are waiting for the County Certificate of Occupancy  for the new space  hence we cannot do any personal or educational work at the site.  On the weekends  from around  noon til 4PM  wea are doing space prep and organizational work and some help would be greatly appreciated.
