I am super excited to be teaching a five month, five weekend, Nature Skills Certification course with David Bruce Leonard, Sunny Savage and Harriet Witt, three people with fantastic complementary skills, knowledge, awareness and enthusiasm. The course starts in just ten days (Jan 31, Feb. 1 & 2.) and there are still a few spots left. Please pass the word!
This course represents a unique opportunity to deepen ones connection to nature on this beautiful tropical island. We will be engaging in hands-on practices that have informed and trained trackers, scouts, hunters, gatherers and healers for countless generations in cultures that draw their sustenance directly from the land. These practices awaken our bodies, hearts and minds to the wisdom and guidance of the plants, birds, animals and elemental and cosmic influences that surround us every day. The somatically anchored awareness and practical sensitivity to the land we will develop will help us to lead the way toward a modern culture of earth-centered care-taking. Hawaiian elder and artist Al Lagunero calls this the "New Old Way."
