The scroll saw took a big hit during the move It lost it's upper blade arm and the holddown arm  These were both Pot metal castings (Mix of Aluminium and Zinc) cannot be welded. My thoughts are let someone disassemble to learn inner workings  and recover the motor Possibly the switch and the puffer pump  then get rid of the rest.  Marg Has a nice scroll saw that can come to the space when we uncover it so it will not be a long term loss for the space.  The motor is a sealed dustproof unit so it should be good for an outdoor project or display project. There may be a speed reducer of some sort in it also. We will start a sort system for storage so we can quickly recover items by type for projects and classes.

Pete: I have a couple of left over Harris "0" braze rods, a digital temp meter as well as some rose bud tips that I could attempt to repair the cast parts. Assuming my torch fits the A/O tanks at the space and they still contain sufficient gas I can attempt to braze the cast parts. In the alternative, if you give me the details pertaining to the saw I can attempt to see if replacements parts are available. Greg

bummer but yeah - part it out… Since its at the new space, find it a storage location - or transport back to container.

And please be careful with other equipment.  It legally belongs to Lokahi Pacific.  We need to let them know about equipment status.

We have tanks and several torches at the container.  They should remain there for now.  We are not approved for welding at the space (by landlords - actually disapproved until we have exterior space)

That was the last big move of anything other than pete's items.

Too bad about the saw, but it appeared to be attached to a stable base--turned out not to be the case. Hard hit on ground when it was being lifted out of the container.

Most equipment in the container is now accessible without a lot of moving of things. That being said, some items aren't well stacked and are unstable. I narrowly avoided a monitor on my head yesterday--thanks for the save Cole. Anyone going into the container needs to watch out for piled equipment that can easily fall. Although it's apparently been that way for some time, it's kind of like a balanced rock--you don't know what might tip it over. Need a team down there to sort, inventory and make safe/useable--but let's focus on the Y Hata bldg for now.
