Businesses leaders, funders, and STEM advocates tap the STEMworks database for high-quality STEM programs most likely to help maximize their impact on STEM education. Funders know that each STEMworks program has gone through a rigorous vetting process and has cleared a very high bar for quality.

In November, President Obama publicly praised Change the Equation members and STEMworks for improving STEM learning for students nationwide. In 2014, STEMworks programs:

  • Received $24 million in financial support from Change the Equation members.
  • Reached roughly 330,000 more young people with this support
  • Helped build new partnerships

STEMworks is part of Change the Equation (CTEq), a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative of CEOs that mobilizes the business community to improve the quality of STEM learning in the United States. Members of Change the Equation provide more than $500 million a year in support of STEM education.

WestEd serves as the independent evaluator of STEMworks applicants.

Change the Equation will hold a webinar on STEMworks and the proposal process on March 17, 2015 from 11 am to 12 pm Mountain time. Register now! You can review a recording of a past STEMworks webinar here.

Visit the STEMworks website (http://changetheequation.org/stemworks) to read about the individual STEMworks programs included and more about the database itself.
