A great day in the field.
We had 2 West Virginia Whites flying over Toothwort plants that were in bloom in Sunderland.
On the way home we checked Montague Sand Plain for Juvinal's Duskywing - no luck- but we saw many more elfins than we had seen earlier. About 15 Pine and a dozen Brown Elfins.
We also had Spring Azures and Mourning Cloaks in Montague.
The dwarf willows were in bloom and attracted many bees, butterflies, and other insects.
