Hi everyone,
I am just back from Big Bend National Park, where they are enjoying the best flower show in at least 30 years. Metalmarks and swallowtails and crescents and roadside skippers galore down there. Went out one night with a fellow from Arizona that Dave Wagner says is the most enthusiastic moth man he has ever known and scored about 600 new species of moths at his mega light sheet. At least 10,000 moths present - a blizzard! Found a Spotted Bat among many very cool mammals. And, of course, the Colima Warbler and lots of other birds and herps. Zowee, that is some place for naturalist types.
