Mattapan butterflies, 5/24/17

Hi,

Today at Boston Nature Center in Mattapan, from 11:30-12:30, I saw the following butterflies:

6 Common Ringlet (FOY)

1 Red Admiral

2 American Copper

3 Cabbage White

1 Spicebush Swallowtail

1 Clouded Sulphur

1 Black Swallowtail

1 Pearl Crescent

There were wide swaths of purple-tipped grass, daisies, buttercups, English plantain, chickweed, and white campion in the fields. I also saw a pair of Mallards and a pair of American Goldfinches.

Overcast, 65 degrees.
