Yesterday (10/16) at the Ward Reservation in Andover (bright sun, 55 degrees, breezy ~ 10 mph), in protected area close to the ground, 4+ American Coppers. Here’s two of them: https://flic.kr/p/Q1hLeJ . And a nearby maple tree for good measure: https://flic.kr/p/Q1hLey. Also 6 clouded sulphurs.

The coppers were all quite active in spite of the cool temps and the breeze. Probably the temp was higher close to the ground with direct sun.
