Hello,
Today I met a new member of the Massachusetts Butterfly Club, Yuichiro Nagatoma at the Bussey Street Gate at Arnold Arboretum, and we searched several locations, despite the cool weather. Yuichiro is an excellent butterfly spotter, as he experienced looking for both rare and common butterflies growing up in Japan. Today we saw the following species from 10AM-1:15PM:
1 Monarch
12 American Copper
4 Cabbage White
1 Clouded Sulphur
1 Least Skipper
3 Woolly Bear caterpillars
Mostly overcast; the sun came out at the end of our visit, 54-63 degrees.
