Field type uuid not recognized by RS-DBI driver for PostgreSQL

Not sure where to file an issue for this. I have a table with field type uuid (http://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.4/static/datatype-uuid.html) which generates this warning when I connect to it:

Warning messages:
1: In postgresqlExecStatement(conn, statement, ...) :
  RS-DBI driver warning: (unrecognized PostgreSQL field type uuid (id:2950) in column 0)

Are you using RPostgreSQL or RPostgres?
