Hi everyone,
I'm helping to organize a follow-up during TRB week, since many of us will be there. There are already quite a few connections to formal TRB committees, sub-committees, and joint sub-committees. But what seemed to be most desired was an opportunity for people to get together and continue working on specific issues identified last week.
We have a couple of options to get together but before we take one direction over another, I would like your thoughts as to the purpose for the reconvening at TRB. Is it a follow-up working session? Or should it be another cross-pollination/sharing best practices/tent-widening event?
We could organize A) a couple of hours on Wednesday Jan 15 or B) an early morning session for one hour on Thursday morning Jan 16 (right before the Transforming Transportation event, with discussion on this board leading up to it). It simply depends on what we'd like to accomplish by meeting up again.
A couple of objectives came from last week's workshop:
- Further development of specific changes to accommodate non-stop/non-scheduled transit systems
- Inputs and organization for the GTFS resource center
Once we have a feel, we'll finalize the logistics and circulate a notice. Please do share your ideas.
Best,
Shin-pei
