I have just received Carl's Alu-X-Ends. Before I dive in and do the replacement I wondered if anyone had any useful nuggets of information that they learnt when they upgraded their 2X.

Make sure you have the Y belt clips screwed in to the tops of the X-ends (lightly) before you put the gantry back in the machine. If you forget you'll end up having to take it all out again to put the clips on. Also make sure you have a 5.5mm wrench/spanner before you begin disassembling things.
