Black-backed Woodpecker returns, 10/8, 7:30 AM, Newcastle, Lincoln County

The Black-backed Woodpecker that I reported on 10/4 has returned to the same dead white pine at 320 North Newcastle Rd. This is the first sighting since 10/4 despite daily checks of the area. I watched it for about ten minutes, then came in to report it.
