to Maine birds
Success rate 4/7. After an absence from the island for about 6 days due to fog Tropy returned yesterday. We watched him for about 15 minutes fly around before he landed near the boat. Also seen were 5 sooty shearwaters, 2 manx shearwater, a hundred wilson's storm-petrel, a distant probable dark-morph parasitic jaeger, several gannet including two breeding plumage birds, and a flock of 17 or so red-necked phalaropes along the floating wrack line. Puffins, razorbills, arctic terns and greqat cormorants are at there peak in and around seal island's waters. Also seen were Osprey, Eagles, guillemots, eider, eagle, porpoise, gray seals and harbor seals.
