Notifications in MD 3.54 and Above

3.54 was just released and notifications were changed based on user feedback from our changes in 3.50. I wanted to write down all the cases to try and make it clearer. Please remember, that prior to version 3.50, all MD did was open up the accounts screen and remove the notification(s).

Settings That Can Be Set:

• Show Navigation Drawer on Open from Icon (Settings --> General Settings)
• Default Account to Open (Settings --> General Settings)
• Show separate notifications for each account (Settings --> Notification)
• Notify Once (Settings --> Notification)

Use Cases:
1. When opened from Notification Bar, depends:

• If show separate notifications IS selected:
• When opening from notification bar, we DON'T show nav drawer and open account selected and remove that notification from notification bar
• If show separate notifications is NOT selected:
• When opening from notification bar, we DON'T show nav drawer and open account selected and remove that notification from notification bar
• When opening from notification bar, we DON'T show nav drawer and open the COMBINED INBOX if there is more than one account with more than mail and remove all notifications from notification bar

2. When opened from MD Icon, depends:

• If 'Show Navigation Drawer on Open from Icon' IS checked AND default account to open is NOT selected:
• We open Drawer when clicked from icon and show notification tab IF new mail AND remove notifications from top bar. The account opened in background is first account in the list of your accounts.
• We open Drawer when clicked from icon and show accounts tab IF NO new mail. The account opened in background is first account in the list of your accounts.
• If 'Show Navigation Drawer on Open from Icon' IS checked AND default account to open IS selected:
• We open the default account when clicked from icon. The drawer setting is ignored and not opened and notifications are NOT removed unless they are from the default account.
• We open the default account when clicked from icon. The drawer setting is ignored and not opened.
• If 'Show Navigation Drawer on Open from Icon'  is NOT checked
• If Default account to open is set, we open default account AND remove notification(s) from top bar if any exist for that ONE email account
• If Default account to open is set to COMBINED INBOX, we open that AND remove ALL notification(s) from top bar
• If Default account to open is NOT set and there is NO new email, we open the first account in the email list
• If Default account to open is NOT set and there IS new email, we open Notification tab AND remove all notifications from top bar

3. If the user had MD open while getting a notification, we show notifications until NAV bar is opened and shows new notifications and no matter what is set we DO NOT open nav drawer by default. We by default open the Accounts Screen.

4. If user opens from mail widget we NEVER show nav drawer, no matter what is set and just open email user clicked on from widget

5. If user opens from counter widget we NEVER show nav drawer, no matter what is set and just open the account they clicked AND remove notifications from top bar for that ONE account

6. If user opens from counter widget COMBINED INBOX icon we NEVER show nav drawer, no matter what is set and just open the account they clicked AND remove notifications from top bar for ALL accounts

One change in 3.55 and that is we no longer "ignore the nav drawer setting when a default account to open is selected'

Based off feedback, we are going to add a use-case in:

1. When opened from Notification Bar, depends:
