Mt. SAC is having a builder challenge competition! Please sign up, it would be great of MAG Laboratory is represented!

I am teaching a class about model rocket science on 5PM at MAG Lab that day so if I do sign up, I won't be there the whole time.

Cost to attend or compete: $0

Date: Saturday March 18, 2017

Schedule:

1:00-1:45 - sign-in, complete waiver and photography forms, meet other team members

1:45-2:00 - distribution of building kits and materials to teams

2:00-2:10 - welcome and announcement of competitive task

2:10-4:10 - teams build and test

4:10-4:50 - competition between teams (2 simultaneous areas)

4:50-5:00 - announcements of winner(s) and awards

5:00-5:30 - clean up

I created some targeted teams for Mt. SAC people (SWE, SHPE, Robotics Team, Engineers, Electronics, etc etc) and 3 for our local(ish) Maker Labs.

I can edit names of teams, so if you want another targeted team, let me know and I can change the name.

I left many of them generic, such as “SAC Team 2” or “Open Team 1”

Feel free to sign up if you are interested.

Please note, we did not design this competition for children, so I put a suggested age limit of 13 on the sign-up.

Children are welcome to observe with adult supervision and control.
