Happy Thanksgiving one and all!
Are any of you thinking of dipping candles, as learned at our last club meeting?
A remark was made about using butcher's string for wicks. I want to pass on the story of a woman who bought "butcher's string, " dipped her candles, and found they wouldn't burn! The string wasn't cotton!! If you are using anything other than purchased wicking, but sure to burn a bit first, to be sure it is pure cotton.

Interesting. I wonder if it was jute? I wouldn't want to use polypropylene in an oven.
