Help needed for a sad situation

An older couple in New Glarus were planning to start beekeeping this season, the husband as the main keeper and the wife helping him. He bought 2 packages of bees, and paid for them.  Before they were delivered, he passed away!  The dealer is holding the packages, because the wife still wants to do bees, especially since a young person is involved who would also be learning beekeeping at the same time.

Is there anyone in our club who would take this person on as a mentoring project?   Anyone willing to help the woman and the youth get started keeping bees near New Glarus?

Paul, I talked to the lady last night and she needs to decide what she really wants to do. The bees are not there yet. We can talk tonight.

Many thanks to the helpful beekeepers who read these messages.  A man of our group from New Glarus has contacted the person and conferred with her about what to do.  She was thrilled and delighted with the quick response and the thought that people cared and were willing to help her.  This is our mentoirng program in action!
