I will have queens on Monday if anyone needs them.

Did you raise these queens yourself, or are you purchasing from someone else?
Thanks.

Oleg.

California queens. Way too early to raise queens in Wisconsin.  Especially, this spring.  Mary

It's been cold; hard to raise queens in the cold.  My first batch of queens (all spoken for) aren't scheduled to be laying until 5/17.  Only southern, western, and of course Kona queens available now.

I've heard the west coast girls are hip.  I really dig those styles they wear.

I made a walk-away split on April 17th.  If all is on schedule, I should have a virgin queen in that hive now, who will use the warmth and sunshine to make mating flights this week and be laying by 5/17.
This is only the second time ever that I've endeavored to raise a queen.  I am excited to see how it goes.

I got a queen from Mary and made the mistake of keeping her and her ladies-in-waiting in a box in the pole barn. In the morning they appeared dead. I called Mary and she told me to warm them up by blowing on them. And voila! they all magically came back to life! Mary is amazing! Thanks!!
