Fitchburg Beekeeping Ordinance

Hello everyone - Wanted to let you know some good news. Last night Fitchburg updated their beekeeping ordinance and made it much better for beekeepers. It is now very similar to what the county and other cities have. The biggest change is that someone can now have up to 6 hives on their property up to 2 acres, up to 8 hives from 2-5 acres and no limit on number of hives on a lot bigger than 5 acres. The previous ordinance only allowed 1 hive on a city lot. The new ordinance will be posted on the city website once some internal things get buttoned up.
