For those looking for some good "infotainment", check out Beekeepers Corner Podcast.  Rich did a great interview on the latest episode (#99) on his development of Broodminder (T & W).  Also for those with small hive beetles, Kevin (host) talks about the use of microfiber towels as a chemical-free way to trap small hive beetles.  There's also a segment on the probiotic Super DFM which is kind of interesting, including a comment that adding essential oils to a hive may do more harm than good as, according to Andrea Hoffman, these oils kill 50% of the natural bacteria present in a hive.  Makes me wonder what treatments like Apiguard do to the bee's gut system.  It will be interesting to see whether organizations like Bee Informed see a correlation between Apiguard use and level of nosema spores.
