I guess the mechanical engineering department has been busy. Kinda funny but maybe you can actually make a business off a 3d printer? ::shrugs::

Maybe not a whole business off of 3-D printing, but definitely you could from a prototype. That's what machine molds are for: mass production.

When I've stopped at some high end tourist mall type thing, there was one shop there that did 3D scanning and then made a colored statue of the tourist about 4 inches high, they sold them for $75 one color up to $150 for full color one.

They were very busy
