I went to their first open meeting a couple weeks ago. I may go to other open meetings depending on who the speakers are. (Next month is supposed to be Mayor Fischer.)

That meeting was kind of light on useful info -- but it did give some background on the group and the people involved. There were lots of "sales pitches" -- become a member (only $50/yr), sign up for classes, etc. I'm not working on any inventions at the moment so I see little reason for me to join or pay for their classes.
