I have a nice tube clock prototype. It fits all the criteria other than being battery powered. Let me know.

Do we have a motor like an erector set motor (or a little larger) in the boneyard?

Ginny

Thanks to everyone for jumping in to help! Some updates: I've now got the lamp covered. As for the prototype, the ideal prop should look like it would be the winner of the "ugliest prototype contest" (hey, maybe that needs to be a thing!). Duct tape and cannibalized parts from something broken would be a plus!

We're doing an educational video about prototyping, and I'm looking for some kind of rough, early prototype-looking thingy that anyone might have and like to let us borrow for a few minutes and use as a prop in our video. The ideal prop would be something somewhat small & lightweight that I could pick up and carry around while I'm talking. If it had anything that lit, blinked or had any kind of motion (and was battery powered), that would definitely be a plus. Basically I'm trying to demonstrate that your first prototype doesn't have to be expensive, pretty or cost a lot of money, and would like a prop to help as a visual aid as I'm making my point. Anybody that has something please let me know by or before Wednesday 8/10, as we're shooting the video on 8/11.Also, I'm looking for a very simple table lamp that uses an old-style screw-in light bulb. Thanks in advance to anyone that might can help us!

Get a big electromagnet… walk thru boneyard, waving it around
Spray epoxy on result (Or just keep it powered…)

I was going to re-create my McGuyver hack from a few months back with the next generation prototype, but I wouldn't have it ready for filming by the 11th. I'd have to work on it a while.
Also, who took the pictures and videos of the McGuyver hacks?
Regards,
Ginny
