Here's a link to a spreadsheet of tasks to complete to build a dust collection system.

We'll schedule events in the future to do assembly and commissioning, but even before we need help building components and subassembly. Various skills needed: sheet metal cut/bend/join, basic woodworking, taping, drilling, hammering, cutting.... Take a look to see if there's a component you can help us build.

Let me know by reply to this thread.

Is there a priority to these? I can help out with the skirt device. Have parts or materials for these items been ordered or should we order and then work on them?

See the "precedence" column in my spreadsheet. 1's have to be ready before 2's can proceed.

The spreadsheet is organized from the perspective of getting dust collection to the CNC machine first. That is the most challenging problem for airflow design because it's the farthest from the dust collector. So, in the spreadsheet, 3's are longer term dust collection needs. But if anyone has a machine they'd like to use a lot, consider pulling together a team together to knock out one of those.

I haven't ordered any materials for dust skirts, hoods, cowls, gates. My focus right now is getting a separator and filter unit built and working. Most of what I still need for that I think I can build by hacking materials I see around our space. I predict our biggest remaining cost will be flex hose, which can get expensive.

Paul.
