Looking for laptop batteries working or not

I'm going to be working on rebuilding a Schwinn electric scooter I got given to me. The sealed lead acid batteries are shot in it and I want to make my own from 18650s. I'd like to thank Mike Revel who is going to give me access to all the research he did on making his own batteries.
