Here is a contest my fellow LVL1ers might be interested in.  This could help you with your sumobot!  The Sumobot fighting will as always be at the end of October for Halloween.  More sumo info comming shortly.

I came across 2 torque-y German DC motors yesterday. They weigh 2 pounds apiece.  I don't know how big the sumobots normally are. These might be overkill.  But I'll drop them off in the boneyard tonight.

500 grams is the max for a mini sumo!

These could be perfect for the battleship game. The issue was always finding a matched pair

Yes, it's an optical encoder. One has it, one ...didn't make it out of the machine intact.
