I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a decent CMS system ideally written in

python or java.

I'm not a fan of RoR.
I find PHP absolutely vile
Perl is .. well Larry Wall is awesome, let's not get into perl.

Mainly I want something that will allow me to extend and add additional modules that go beyond just the CMS.  Which will involve some actual development not dropping in little modules here and there and updating the wiring.  So I'd prefer to use a language that is somewhat decent to work in.

Scala is good but I'm still learning it.

Anyone have any favorites that they've really enjoyed?  My current favorite framework is Play but I haven't ran across any decent CMS system written around it.  (At least not the 2.x version )

Django is a web framework, not a CMS.

My most promising prospect is kotti atm.

seems pretty versatile and I like pyramid in general.
