I was surprised to see that WDC had such a high failure rate.
In my experience, Seagate drives fail with amazing regularity (why I try
to avoid them).
I have had good luck with WDC, though I stick with the higher-end (Red
for Servers, Black for NAS, and Purple in my TiVo boxes). I usually
don't waste my money on the consumer-grade ones with only a 1-year
warranty.
