I'm now trying to set up my dev laptop (Win7, Apache 2.2.x) with Lucee 4.5.1. I have the rewrites in my Apache config already, but the Lucee service just won't start. I looked in my logs and see this, which doesn't tell me much:

Looks like it's Tomcat that's failing to start, but since I'm new to both Tomcat and Lucee, I'm hoping someone can give me a clue here... I haven't found anything actionable in my searches so far.

I'm running Windows 7. Did you ever figure it out and get it working?

I've attached the screenshot of Lucee Monitor app. Mine was blank and i had to fill in all this stuff by hand.

Below are all my tabs from the app. After several hours of guessing I got it to work on Saturday.

IF the monitor app doesn't start, make sure to "Run as Administrator"

Hope that help!

oh yea, you will have to adjust memory MBs and paths to wherever you installed lucee.

LMK if you have any more troubles. Once I got the logging table working correctly, I was able to see what was going on. So make sure that the logs point to the correct location.

No luck here... Checking "use default" for the JVM cleared my JVM settings. Using the default or pointing it back at C:\lucee\jdk\jre\bin\server\jvm.dll made no difference.

BTW - using "C:\lucee\tomcat\logs\out" as a logging path created a file called out with no extension as a log.

Same sort of errors:

I just had the issue, it looks like if you are on windows but don't have iis installed and don't tick the iis connector the default server.xml has a reference to

      <Host name="localhost" appBase="webapps">
        <Context path="" docBase="C:\inetpub\wwwroot\" />
      </Host>

Which doesn't exist. I simply deleted that host and added a different context under:

     <Host name="127.0.0.1"  appBase="webapps"
            unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="false">

e.g <Context path="" docBase="C:\Users\jason\Workspace" />

and server now starts ok. I am using nginx and proxy pass hence the no iis.

Wow, that was it?!?! I had put this on the backburner, returned to try the standalone version on my dev laptop finally, and saw your reply and got it working. Nothing I saw in the logs would give me a clue about the problem. Thank you!
