Hello, thought you might be interested in the following paper on
the use LRMI as microdata:
A QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF MICRODATA FOR SEMANTIC
ANNOTATIONS ON EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES.
R NAVARRETE, S LUJÁN-MORA - Journal of Web Engineering, 2018
PDF at http://www.rintonpress.com/xjwe17/jwe-17-12/045-072.pdf
From the abstract:
" In order to obtain a reliable evaluation of the use of Microdata
properties related to the LRMI specification, accessibility, and
the license of resources, this research conducted a quantitative
analysis of the deployment of these properties in large-scale web
corpora covering two consecutive years. The corpora contain
hundreds of millions of web pages. The results further our
understanding of this deployment in addition to highlighting the
pending issues and challenges concerning the use of such
properties. "
The data used is from 2014 and 2015
The paper has a good literature review, and identifies several issues in LRMI implementation (low uptake at that point, very little uptake of the AlignmentObject, often with mistakes, likewise errors in how other properties were used).
