Error : could not resolve the address of the host

HI,

when i tried to record a script using LR11.5 for the first time it is not having anything other than the inserted transactions. Then tried by enabling SSL 2.0 in browser settings which helped to sort the problem.

But now when i try to replay the script in vuGen , it is throwing the error "Could Not Resolve The Address Of The Host"

-Actions are not being recorded if we disable the SSL 2.0

-Scripted for the basic www.google.com

-IE is not recording the events after enabling the security

-Script is not having any login.

Pls help me out of this....

It is against the code of ethics for performance testers to execute tests against sites and applications where you are not the direct owner or have direct written permission to test from the application or site owner.  Here you are attempting to execute tests against google which is also against their terms of service for using automated tools against their sites and applications.    The action is also against the license for LoadRunner to use it against a site you do not own, manage, control or have written permission to test.   There is a whole lotta bad magic going on here.

My guess is you are trying self educate on the tool and thought Google was an acceptable target.   Nope.    Consider that the sample applications are there for a reason and if you feel the need to experiment outside of these then consider the thousands of open source applications which are available for download and installation in your environment on servers you control and manage which is the LAMP, WAMP, WIMP and WISP models.   

A performance testing tool is the software equivalent of a tactical nuclear device.  Do not shoot at what you do not own.  This is particularly true when you are just learning how to use a gun.
