Am getting the following C interpreter run time error while replying
the Script

Please do suggest me for the solutions and the work arounds for the
same

Hi James,

I havent added/modified anything in the script before replaying

I have modified the code as such i have added
web_set_max_html_param_len("2048")

Then replied the same and got the error which i have mentioned below

Action.c(31): Error -26377: No match found for the requested parameter
"category". Check whether the requested boundaries exist in the
response data. Also, if the data you want to save exceeds 70000 bytes,
use web_set_max_html_param_len to increase the parameter size
[MsgId: MERR-26377]
Action.c(31): web_submit_data("IssueCategory.aspx_2") highest severity
level was "ERROR", 3254 body bytes, 621 header bytes [MsgId:
MMSG-26388]


Please do help me in resolving the same

Unless you own this mailing list, pay for its costs etc., (which you don't, it is a Google Groups mailing list) I do not see you actually contributing much to the discussions apart from trying to get your business some cash. Nothing wrong with that but with this attitude, even though I'm on fire, I wouldn't call your business to help me.

OK, How about this….

 

·         The answer to this question is the subject of a full 1/3 of the standard HP web virtual user course, correlation

·         The answer can be found as well by working through the tutorials which comes with the product and reading the virtual user generator developers guide

·         The person asking the question appears to be using public forums in lieu of attending training or reading the manuals and engaging in the tutorials.   Public forums will always be an insufficient substitute for either.  Product Support would also be a poor substitute and it is also used in lieu of training for many people.

·         There appear to be some foundation skills issues at play involving the programming language of LoadRunner.   I recommend a book that I own, use as reference material, have recommended to my own brother and uncle and one which I find to be an excellent primer and reference for the C programming language, “C for Dummies.”   It is one of many bright yellow well written “for dummies” books which I own, which are clearly written for people just like me.

·         The person is pretty clearly on a self training path.  The failure rate on this path is extraordinarily high as I have directly observed over 16 years of association with this tool and this industry.   There is a path which virtually guarantees success and this is the one that the management of this person should want them to be on.     This path would involve training and a mentor for a period of time

·         I recommended that the person hire the expertise to get the work done.   I don’t particularly care who they hire as long as the person is effective in the role.   This person is not effective as is and needs significant training and mentoring to get to a self-sufficient level.    This is a reflection not on the person but on the management of the company that they are a part of who have thrown this person to the technical/tool wolves with little life support.    They are operating not in the best interests of the development of their own staff nor their clients.   It is for actions like this that rates have been dropping for the last decade while at the same time positions go unfilled for a year or more at a time.   The only way you can have a lower price in a resource sparse condition in a market is for the resources to have such a low value as to offset the natural rise in price which occurs in a resource sparse condition.    We are only going to be able to address this issue by raising the capability and value of the surviving members of the profession.

 

For many years I answered questions fully and completely and then I ran across a number of companies that I had to clean up behind that had used my willingness to answer questions in order to get their own questions answered and to establish credibility to win work.   This happened for a series of clients in a row.   After that my answer model shifted.  I will provide questions which will take you to an answer with work on your own, or statements which will provide the start of a path to an answer, but you are not going to get a full answer in a public forum.    If you wish to compensate me for my consulting services to provide a full and complete answer then I will be happy to work with you on that, but this is, as you point out, the answer you receive is worth at least as much as you have paid for it.

 

When you reach over 12,000 questions answered publicly and over 20,000 answered privately on the subjects of performance testing, performance engineering and LoadRunner then I will be happy to listen to you on whether I should stick around or go.    If history serves as a model you won’t be sticking around longer than 2-3 years anyway, instead you will be “promoted” to developer or project manager.   I think I can wait you out just as I have done with generations before you.

The error message you are getting becuase either you have not use the correct boundry (LB or RB or ORD) or you have not placed the web_reg_save_param at right place.. if you know corellation by tree mode go there and do it or do it manually fo r that first got o generation log and look for the dynamic value and and than scrol down nd see where are you finding this value like above the web_url1 or web_submit1 or anywhere and than find it from treee mode or go to the script and put that statement above what you have found and corelalte it and let me know.. if it wont work i will tell you other procedure.. but i m sure this is because of improper corelaltion
