Hi all
A couple of months ago, a craftsman made a mistake during some floorwork and ended up releasing many liters of central heating water which flowed through the central electrical cabinet in the house. The result was that the main power distribution board and the Loxone Miniserver, Tree, two Dimmers, two power supplies and a relay short-circuited and was replaced.
Everything seemed to have been fixed, a couple of time we have experienced that the Tree components (sensors and switches) became inoperable for about 30-60 minutes after which they began working fine again.
However today things turned gradually for the worse and have ended with all Tree components now being offline, so we must operate everything via the app. From 10 am to 2 pm I saw all components go offline as can be seen in the screenshots.
Running Tree search and diagnostics doesn’t bring any other information than “No communication possible (100% packet loss)! Please check your cabling and power supply to the device.” I have checked the power supply and all motion sensors and switches are blinking red and emitting the standard click sound when pressed, so I assume power is getting to the devices.
I guess I could just order another Tree extension, but my concern is that as the one I am using now is already new (after the water damage), then there is something in the system which is killing the Tree extension. But how to find this culprit or what to do in general?
If anyone have experiences with or suggestions for the above, I hugely appreciate it J
I’m anyway calling the electrician tomorrow, but he’s not a Loxone partner (as there isn’t any of these in Denmark) and will not be able to tell me anything specific about Loxone, only guide me on electrical matter in general, so I don't have my hope up for that angle.
Kind regards Jakob
If that doesn't work then it's a process of elimination to find the fault.
It's unlikely that all the tree switches and motion sensors have decided to all become faulty at the same time.
Which then leaves a wiring fault or the tree extension is faulty.
Having both left and right sides of the tree extension not showing any switched is suspicious and would lead you to believe it's the tree extension at fault and not the wiring.
To confirm I would take a switch from one of your rooms and connect it directly to the tree extension and power in the panel with a short bit of cabling and see if it shows up in config.
If it shows up then it's a wiring fault.
If it doesn't then it's the tree extension.
