Hey Loopbacks,

we are building a management and data analysis framework for goods transportation (logistics) for european customers who try to implement an eu regulation forcing them to collect and monitor all data their trucks produce.

in this context we built quite a complex datastructure with multiple datasources and sync interfaces to 3rd parties. a perfect fit for loopback in our eyes. however our team is growing and we constantly have the problem to explain the data model behind the Rest API.

The Swagger-powered Explorer is very nice, however it is not perfect for documentation of the model behind the api.

Raymond Feng referenced a prototype doing this job (currently offline, no idea since when) https://github.com/strongloop/loopback-model-visualizer which sounds very promising to our needs.

Does anybody (or Raymond himself) know what happened to this prototype, or any alternative to it?

thank you very much!

I was looking for a similar solution and I've found this one: https://github.com/raymondfeng/loopback-model-visualizer. I haven't tried yet though.

Hello,

we just published this component: loopback-component-model-diagram that does exactly that. We are using it for 3 loopback based backends and it's working quite good for us so far so we are publishing on npm.. It uses the excellent nomnoml to do the drawing.
Let me know if you find that useful and if you any suggestion please let me know (or do a pull request!:) )
