Hi Guys! I'm not sure if this is the spot for general announcements/proposals/notes of interest--so I might post something on the TInkermill.org forums to the same effect.
My name's Nat and I'm a freelance video worker and educator, and I've come by to record some video at Tinkermill events a handful of times - mostly about 5-6 or so months ago if memory serves - so some of us may be acquainted. I was hoping to make a short documentary about Tinkermill as a kind of window to the maker/makerspace movement. I'm still interested in pursuing this as a more middle-to-long term goal, but in the mean time it has come to my attention that the space may need a few videos for its website.
I would like to volunteer to help make such a piece, and maybe make a small collection of spots of people's favorite hacks/makes/workflows/tools, etc. My partner, Juan Stewart, has also agreed to spend some time with me to get something together. We would like to come by the space tomorrow (Tuesday the 28th) for the general meeting to introduce ourselves and discuss this possibility. In my mind, it would take 6-8 interviews, and gathering some 'B-roll' footage of the space in use, some of which I already have.
Anyhow, that's the scheme! I just wanted to give you guys a heads up with a pre-announcement.
