PT/EXPO COMM International Trade Fair and Conference Beijing, China: 21-27 September 2014
World IT Show Busan, South Korea: 19-24 October 2014
Further missions, including Fin-tech focussed Tech is GREAT week in the US (early 2015) will be launched in due course.

Market Opportunities
With ever more cities joining the Smart Cities revolution, the opportunities in China and South Korea from Big Data to Internet of Things and Machine to Machine are growing a pace.
· China: has adopted a smart cities development plan that is seeing more than £150 billion invested in smart cities. A £192 billion investment in expanding fixed-line and wireless broadband connectivity was also announced in 2013
· South Korea: annually invests £118 million (2013) in Smart Cities, which is estimated to grow to £297m by 2023. US$ 358m is also being invested annually as part of the US$ 7.18 billion national smart grid project.

UKTI Market Access Programme (MAP) funding, towards flights and accommodation costs is available for eligible companies. Companies must be a small or medium sized enterprise (SME) based in the UK, and trading for a minimum of 12 months.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of representatives from the technology industry. Winners will be selected on the quality of the application provided.
